OUR STRUGGLE AGAINST ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES IN OUR DISTRICT
Since 2019, Bodrum Municipality has been steadfast in the fight against illegal construction throughout the district.
Under the supervision of the Building Control Directorate, municipal teams have been tirelessly combating illegal construction. To date, within the scope of our efforts, 980 unauthorized structures have been demolished, 6890 structures have been sealed and 2772 cases have been included in the demolition program. Additionally, in accordance with relevant legal regulations, fines totaling 18,545,449 Turkish Lira were imposed in the month of November alone.
As part of the ongoing initiatives, demolition resolutions have been made for a total of 487 constructions as of the year 2023. Among these, demolition decisions were enforced for 131 buildings, and work on 2350 constructions was halted. In November, demolition decisions were issued for 4 constructions, 18 buildings faced demolition and work on 125 ongoing constructions was suspended.
