Müsgebi Cafe

Müsgebi is the old name of ORTAKENT, which is also known today. According to the legend, in 1523, the Ottoman Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent visited Bodrum when he conquered Bodrum, and when he heard the smell of the musket grapes planted by the Priest Bishop, whose name was given to the region, he said, "It smells like Misgibi, let it be called Misgibi". The region, whose first name was "Episkopi", was pronounced as "Müsgebi" in colloquial language until 1961, after this date it was named "Ortakent" because it was in the middle of Bodrum and Turgutreis. Our Müsgebi Cafe, which keeps the old name of Ortakent alive on the Yahsi Beach, serves its guests in a unique location.
