MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPARTMENT TIGHTENING UP INSPECTIONS & PRACTICES



The Bodrum Municipal Police Department is tightening up inspections and practices ahead of the upcoming tourism season.


The Municipal police teams conducted inspections regarding expiration dates, price tags, permits, garbage and recycling, and general cleanliness at markets and supermarkets in Bodrum.

During the three-day inspections, a total of 203 markets and supermarkets were inspected. Fifteen businesses were found to be in compliance with trade regulations, four businesses were fined for improper price tags, two businesses were fined for lacking permits and eight businesses received warnings regarding general cleanliness, in accordance with relevant regulations.

The Bodrum Municipal Police Department has emphasized that inspections and enforcement measures will continue uninterrupted for the residents of Bodrum as well as local and foreign visitors to the city.

EFFORTS FOR PEDESTRIAN SAFETY

The Bodrum Municipal Police Department's traffic inspection teams have intensified efforts to improve pedestrian safety in Bodrum. Due to the high pedestrian traffic in Bodrum, especially as summer season preparations accelerate, the teams have increased enforcement measures, particularly targeting motorcycle and scooter riders.
