Natural Delights Meet with the Public


The 5th Bitter Herb Festival, held on March 9-10 in Ortakent Center, attracted a large audience.

In collaboration with Bodrum Municipality and the Ortakent Yahşi Yalılar Development & Blue Flag Association (OYDER), the 5th Bitter Herb Festival in Ortakent Center attracted a large audience from the community.

Among the attendees were CHP Muğla Deputy Süreyya Öneş Derici, Mayor Ahmet Aras, General Coordinator of the municipality Emel Çakaloğlu, Deputy Mayor İlknur Ülküm Seferoğlu, Municipal Council Member Tamer Mandalinci, OYDER Chairman Öncel Erkal, along with board members, representatives from chambers and NGOs, relevant municipal department directors, members of the press and citizens.

With approximately 300 participants and hundreds of visitors, the festival was enriched by the presence of esteemed local artists, chefs, educators and folk dance ensembles, adding vibrancy to Ortakent for two days. The festival showcased a variety of local plants and bitter herbs, alongside dishes prepared from natural ingredients, which were served to attendees. The festival concluded its first day with a concert by Bora Gencer, while the final day featured a performance by Onur Gülen and his Orchestra, followed by an award ceremony.
