BODRUM MUNICIPALITY GOT HIGH MARKS FROM HAYTAP
Bodrum Municipality has been awarded top marks in the "Municipality Report Card" issued by HAYTAP (Animal Rights Türkiye Active Force Union Platform).
This report card, created through an objective assessment, evaluates the efforts of municipalities from 2019 to 2024 in addressing issues related to street animals, as observed and graded by HAYTAP. Out of the 282 municipalities assessed, only 8 achieved a perfect score out of five. Bodrum Municipality's proactive measures have earned it the "Exceeds Expectations" recognition.
The list, which was also assessed through the municipalities' treatment of not only street animals but other animals as well, is prepared based on criteria such as the care, treatment, and neutering programs, collaboration with NGOs, responsible budget allocation, results of spontaneous inspections, employment of qualified personnel and appropriate utilization of donations from HAYTAP.
